I Updated All My Children’s Books to the 2nd edition.

If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know my children’s books were some of the very first steps I took as a writer and self-publisher. When I released those early editions, I was brand new to the whole process—learning as I went, making the best choices I could with the tools and knowledge I had at the time.

And honestly? I’m still thankful for those first editions.

Those books helped me begin my journey as a writer. They gave me the confidence to keep going, to keep improving, and to keep creating. Since then, I’ve been able to jump-start into a steady stream of new titles—and with each book, I’ve learned so much.

Not just about writing and editing… but also about formatting, design, and self-publishing.

Believe me when I tell you: there is a lot to learn—and the learning curve is sharp.

Even now, I know I have more to learn. But I also know this: those original children’s books deserved to be better represented. They deserved to reflect what I’ve grown into as an author, and they deserved to offer the best possible experience for the families reading them.

So I went back and did the work.

Why I Made 2nd Editions

This update wasn’t a quick tweak—it was a full refinement process.

✅ I improved the writing. I tightened up the wording and made sure the tone fits the target audience better—kids first, and parents who read aloud right alongside them.

✅ I upgraded the artwork. I really wanted the visuals to feel richer and more engaging. I believe the improvements create a more immersive experience—one that pulls children deeper into the story.

✅ I reformatted each book for eBooks. If you’ve ever opened an eBook that felt clunky or hard to navigate, you know how important formatting is. These 2nd editions are now easier to read across multiple devices and much smoother to move through—page to page, screen to screen.

The Bottom Line

I’m proud of these revisions. Truly proud.

I feel like these 2nd editions represent the books the way they always should have been represented—clearer, stronger, more polished, and more enjoyable for the families who bring them to life through reading.

And I hope you’ll love them too.

But don’t take my word for it—preview them yourself.

Head to billystarbuck.com, follow the book links to the Amazon landing pages, and check out the previews. See the updates. Experience the difference. Decide for yourselves.

Thank You

To everyone who purchased the first editions: thank you.

You helped launch this journey. You inspired me to keep going, to keep learning, and to keep creating. And that’s why I’m here today—still writing, still improving, still building.

You readers, are the very best. I mean it.
